Prerequisite Learning System Concept

I’ve been experimenting with learning-design tools again lately, and, honestly… it’s way too much fun.

One of those experiments turned into a small web-based application that I didn’t expect to be so helpful.

It’s called the Prerequisite Learning System, and it builds a custom teaching prompt tailored to the person who’s learning — their age, their preferred language, and the specific topic they’re stuck on.

I love building tools that help me teach and write better.
This is one of them.

What This Tool Does

The Prerequisite Learning System isn’t a course.
It’s not a tutor..
It’s a tiny smart generator that creates a customized prompt that helps you (or your students) understand why a topic feels difficult — and how to fix it.

You give it three inputs:
- Your age
- Your preferred language
- The topic you want to understand

And the app instantly produces a personalized learning prompt you can drop into ChatGPT.

That prompt does the rest.

Here’s what the generated prompt helps uncover:

1. Identifies Your Missing Foundations

Most learning struggles aren’t about intelligence.
They’re about missing stepping stones.

The tool analyzes your topic and identifies the core prerequisites someone usually needs before it makes sense — then highlights which ones you’re likely missing.

People often respond with something like:

“Oh… that’s the part I never learned.”

It’s a relief more than anything.

2. Friendly, Age-Appropriate Explanations

Because age matters.

A 12-year-old and a 42-year-old shouldn’t receive the same explanation.
A beginner and a professional shouldn’t either.

The prompt generator adapts the tone and style so the teaching feels natural, not forced — and definitely not condescending.

Everything is rewritten into simple, clear, human language.

3. Gives a Mini Study Plan

Big textbooks overwhelm.
Small steps empower.

The custom prompt includes a simple 3–5 step action plan to fill in the missing prerequisites, in the right order, at a pace anyone can follow.

It’s practical and immediate — something you can act on today, not someday.

4. Rebuilds the Main Topic With Clarity

Once the foundations are in place, the system re-explains the original topic with new clarity.

The moment when everything finally “clicks” suddenly feels predictable instead of accidental.

How It Helps the Reader

Here are the core insights the Prerequisite Learning System delivers:

Why I Built It

Honestly? I wanted a teaching tool for myself. 😄

Whenever I learn something new — a programming concept, a business framework, a math idea — I often hit a wall not because it’s complex, but because I’m missing the one concept the author assumed I already knew.

So I built a tool that creates prompts that reveal the missing steps.

And yes… I also just enjoy building small, genuinely useful tools for learners and writers.

We need more educational tools made by people who actually learn and teach every day.

The Bottom Line

If you want to understand anything faster — or if you teach, coach, or create educational content — try the Prerequisite Learning System app.

It’s free.
It’s fast.
And it doesn’t track anything.

If you do try it, I’d love your feedback.
Was it helpful?
Did it make your topic finally “click”?
What should I add in the next version?

It’s just the beginning. There’s so much room to expand and refine.
